Captain Stephen Strassel has been a captain since 1988 and a resident of Naples since 1996.  He has been on and around the water his entire life. A Florida Naturalist specializing in Coastal waters and a graduate from The Rookery Bay Reserve Coastal Module, he has been conducting wildlife and ecological tours in Naples for the past eight years.  Whether it is just touring our waters looking at the wildlife that swim, fly above or walk nearby or combing the beaches of Keewaydin Island for shells, he thoroughly enjoys it and so do clients. The residents and visitors to our area (young or old), love to learn about our local habitat and environment.

Most people are surprised to learn that Southwest Florida is blessed to have access to the only true mangrove forest in the continental United States of America! Moreover, it is right here in our very own backyard! Not only is this the only mangrove forest in the USA but it is the second largest mangrove forest in the world.

There is so much to learn that no one can absorb it all in one tour and why we get so many repeat and referral customers on our tours. The opportunity to charter a new boat with friends and family will be an experience of a lifetime!

Whether you are just canal crawling through the mansions of Port Royal and Aqualane Shores or the back bay waters from Naples to Marco Island, this is going to be an experience you will not soon forget!!

"I can’t wait to see you on board the Naples Waterway and Wildlife Tours soon!!!" - Captain Steve
